In line with Appian's recent round of marketing layoffs, leadership is taking a more subtle approach to decreasing employee count by increased "performance improvement plans" (PIPs) for sales and other divisions. It is suspected by many that this is too head off already decreasing moral and the ongoing mass exodus from the organization.

There have been continual elimination of roles throughout the marketing organization for over a year since the last layoff. There has also been a mass exodus of the more talented members of marketing in recent weeks, and no indication any backfills for those positions will be provided.
Did they do more layoffs in marketing? When did that happen?
