UP is leaning more to 6 and 3..... probably going to be an extra board.... once they get rid of Pools they'll shut for 1 giant extra board for all directions.... Also what was the point of having a pay increase if we're just guarantee? Much rather have 11 and 4, lay off on that 11th day and get a nice week long time off.

If you layoff UNcompensated you will lose guarantee. I'm sure that non pre-arranged compensated days will be near unobtainium... Infact I bet you'll be able to layoff compensated in a half all you want but ONLY after they force the first one to be UNcompensated thus clawing back any guarantee.
IF you see this pattern occuring in your service unit be sure your local is tracking it for downstream purposes...
If you lay off once you will lose your guarantee.
