Layoff can happen at any time, any month, any quarter, any year. If you're safe this month, don't relax too much, next month will come around soon enough. You'll never know when you'll be the next one to go.

That's funny, and an excellent point that HR can only handle so much.
Also: an employer must give WARN notice to lay off more than 500 in any 90-day period.
somebody please consider the poor ladies in HR who probably have to do reams of paperwork for this. (allthough i speculate some HeaRtless ones actually enjoy it, and would work weekends to do more of it).
now, maybe the HR system has automation for this (tis happening allover tech, might as well make it a feature in the HR system, right product management?)
so anyways, my guess is they need a break. when rested they may or may not take up the axe again.
SAS typically will do all the cuts at roughly the same time / day so folks are not left wondering. I do think there will be more cuts this year, but no more this quarter. Disclaimer is there are always actions outside north america with a different approach.
If you don't eat your meat, you can't have any pudding.
Those who are tardy do not get fruit cup.
The beatings will continue until morale improves.
The cuts will end when the revenues stop declining.
there wouldn't be more cuts tomorrow. No need to start sweating until around 5:00 on Friday. ;)
Yes SAS is over
I'm left with only tears
I must remember
Even if it takes a million years
To @lhu+1rp7JFp9 or others, where specifically are you worried about further cuts?
I'm worried about more cuts coming tomorrow.
