The unhealthy work environment is destroying my mental health. Instead of getting better - after all, our results are improving - the situation keeps getting worse every month. I know my team is far from the only one having to go through this. How do others deal with this?

Take a week of vacation every 3-4 months to avoid burn-out. Like the saying goes “the grass is not greener on the other side”. Take care of #1.
Are you able to work from home? Having s-x in the middle of the day relieves stress.
Get away for awhile from social media and sites like this is the best advice. Look elsewhere to regain your sanity and peace of mind, in real life, not the internet groupthink which is destroying the normal individual thought process. You may be pleasantly surprised at the real world out there. Good luck.
Explain your stresses to your manager and how it affects the business impact, and if they don’t help, suggest to your manager to meet with their manager to strategise a solution. Don’t be scared of doing this. Sometimes your manager needs a nudge to take what you say seriously. And if that doesn’t work, focus on being helpful and valuable in other ways that are are more sustainable for work/life balance and visible to others in the company.
You need to talk to someone. Not someone at work but a therapist. You need to find what stresses you. Then work on fixing that.
I was in bad shape. Horrible financial shape and stressed all the time worried about losing my job. I paid off the cars, student loan debts, then the house. Now I am mid 40’s with a few Mill net worth. My stress level is at 0. It took time but on the journey I felt better every day.
You can do it just find out why you’re stressed and hopefully you can fix it. Maybe it’s a different company, house, town or debt but change what stresses you. That simple, no medicines unless you are in bad shape and only for a short period of time. And stop drinking if your drinking, you need a clear mind.
What exactly are y'all going through? The more you read these boards and fuel the rumor mill, the more in knots you'll get. The majority of us here should have a solid resume to find work elsewhere and be in fairly good financial shape...if not then you probably shouldn't be here haha
Call EAP. Get in therapy. High achievers are rife with mental health issues. I suffered too long before getting help (and real help, not just pillz). Figure out what’s internal vs environment.
EAP is your friend. They won’t notify management unless you ask them to.
OP. As far as your team is concerned, support them as best you can. At the same time, you have to take care of yourself too. CVX has gone downhill under the current management. You need to make a decision regarding your situation. Simply put, CVX will not take care of you. Only you can do that. I'm not saying to leave but it's an option you have. I think there are a lot of decent companies out there. One question to ask yourself.....do you think CVX is going to change for the better? The bottom line is do what you need to take care of yourself. Good luck.
May our lord Trump Bless you and keep you
The high stress is real at Chevron. Morale is very low and people and just exhausted. Management doesn't care so moving on is the only way since unionizing probably isn't an option.
