Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

Life is better after xerox

Many ppl, myself included have a better work life post-xerox layoff. Just know if you've been laid off, life will get better, stay positive, and your skills should xfer well.
Yes it su_ks. Grieve and move on.
I'm 100% happier now than my last 5-7 years at Xerox.

Maybe tone down the toxic positivity? Those working with the non-transferable outdated techpowerhouse tech will be getting cut at the worst possible time. Career ending to be honest, they have no idea.

I was a colour analyst in Vancouver and quit to go work for a SaaS startup. I changed job and it’s been four years now. I was making 90 I’m making 182 now. Change can be good.

It’s kind of like switching from horsehair to 100% cotton based underwear. For years you’ve been telling yourself and others the merits of horsehair durability and skillfully serving up nonsensical answers to objections like, “if horsehair is so great why do people use chaps?” Or, “why are we talking about horses anyway? I drive an electric car!” Welcome to the 21st century and enjoy your new cotton undies and life at a way better company than xerox. No job yet? Well until then going commando still better than yesterday and you’ll have some amazing new underwear soon.
