Wow!!! An email was sent out regarding the recent promotions within the organization. I'm guessing 500 promotions!!!! I've never seen anything like it. Hilarious and confusing at the same time. Make it make sense???

Gosh, you all just make up stuff. Most title changes have never come with a salary change. This year isn't different. So the idea that the promotions took from the salary increase for others is bogus. There just wasn't a salary pool. Get over it.
Lots of promotions (even with a Sr or Mgr bump) got no salary change or VC change this year. Great year for them to give lots of promotions to act like they actually care about their employees without spending a penny.
And yes of course in the list of how many ever promotions and recognitions there are real promotions and real compensation changes.
It all depends on the change. They can(and often do) change title with absolutely zero change in salary or VC target.
even if they don’t get a salary bump, put a Sr.in front of someone’s title and their bonus structure goes up.

Title bumps don’t change the salary
You know those "recognitions" in the promotions and recognition announcements? Those are basically a pat on the head saying "nice job". No $ most of the time and certainly not a promotion. Just another senior management attempt to placate those below them. Sad what is happening.
That’s about 3% of the staff. Not so big looking at it that way.
Yes tons of management promotions. Instead of hike they all released a nice salary bump. For the rest of us just an egg on our face.
