Anybody been to a retirement party lately? Seems like people just disappear now.
I'm so happy my dad was let go over a year ago. He doesn't have to endure the stress of not knowing if he will have a job tomorrow. Every year he would put off vacation with my mom due to this cr-p. They went on vacation once he knew he was not being let go. This year, they are going on vacation.

@1hok Yeah, Ill jeopardize my job because you want to copy some stuff against against policy. Sure, no problem.
The policy was implemented because secure information was being removed from company resources, not because people were copying pics or files of jokes.
Ask IT folks to activate your USB slot...

They should offer voluntary packages each year. A lot of people would already be off the payroll by now if voluntary packages were offered last year.
As someone who was a couple of years short of being able to retire in 2022, I'm hoping my laptop starts acting up ;-)

The first sign of a large layoff is the laptops acting up. Close friend guy axed Aug. 2022. He couldn't attach files in email for weeks before the layoff.
Yes, it’s coming end of March. I heard this from an LL4. Brace for impact. Prepare for the worst.
It's not predicting the future. The downloads have been scheduled.
