Need a Break Badly

Every one in Citi is suffering from Mental Trauma of layoff. Everyday is starting with question what happens today ? and continues with Job applications, waiting on Interview calls, etc...
On the other end, more pushing of work sorry work related chores
Mandatory office visits
Office politics
Worry about reports, their families

I need a BREAK badly. Waiting ...

Jane, this is totally unacceptable. For laying off a certain team/people why you are causing mental trauma to others ? Atleast announce early that these are Organizations to be affected for next 6m to 1 year so others can work freely till their turn.

you are digging your own Grave unless you are planning to close the citi. Already the news is out in market about your in-efficient approaches.

Atleast, You have to compensate the employees with a break , extra vacations or perks.
You are totally breaking the "Employee Motivation" part.
It is very hard for us to manage people. Retention is going to be Hard for managers.

Omg the “participation trophy” generation. It’s a reorg, they happen. My gawd you all would have been in a fetal position rocking back and forth in 2007/2008.

They are counting on the pressure to weed people out. If you leave on your own, its cheaper than paying you severance. In other words its by design.

Your plea to management on this post will fall on deaf ears. Two things to keep in mind.

  1. Don’t think for one second that Jane cares about you, she does not.
  2. Citi will never pay you what you are worth. It does not matter if you are a low of high performer, you’ll never be paid what your worth.

Many are going through mental trauma on and off this board because they take pride in what they do, have bills to pay and months to feed.
Some in my group are on mental health leave. people come to this board to get relief.
So if you cant understand that Get Off This Train!!!

She said the groups impacted from the very beginning. The regions and then functions. Functions are listed on the hub .
I don’t know anyone at Citi going thru “mental trauma”, except those posting on these boards.
