Thread regarding Nielsen layoffs

Dave Kenny's legacy

Anyone want to talk about David Kenny's legacy? He split the company so must have made $ for the shareholders. What was one of his first orders of business when he arrived? To make himself Chief Diversity Officer (because DEI is so important), it was so important he took over an African American woman's job to become Chief Diversity Officer (how's that for diversity!) Then replaced himself down the line ... But he focused the company on the diversity goal as being one of the most important. Well here's the fruit of it, Nielsen so reveres diversity they are sending huge numbers of jobs to India, Mexico and Poland. Dave Kenny's other goal --- of making Nielsen a true tech company ... doesn't seem to have materialized.

Just don't understand why they had to do PE so close to splitting and selling off half the company. Thought they made lots of $ there.

He was at our office in Netherlands recently and apparently took small amount of employees out for a fancy meal (I think maybe to talk BRGs?). This was in the months after Christmas party was cancelled because we didn'thave enough money

He crawled out of the swamp to be the ceo then got paid and crawled back. Waiting there in standby, for the next private equity group to summon him in another hostile takeover scheme.

He did what he did on purpose! For his friends in Davos. I used to love getting an email after some event like J6 asking if everyone is alright. Meanwhile, NOT ONE email from him when cities were burning down and being looted around us all Summer. Way more people were affected by the looting and burning down of cities but never checked on anyone. But an event in one city and he was all concerned.
He's a POS
