My LinkedIn is flooded with former Suncor Employees announcing new positions. Their tenure at Suncor ending March 2024.
In the summer, working from home in the scorching heat in my condo, I started doing my job in my b-a & pa-ties eventually completely nu-e. Would either cover up for Teams Meetings or keep the camera off. In fact, when the “call” came I had to grab a shirt to cover up. Now eight months later I am enjoying my package, not having to venture out into the cold; and ‘playing’ online. Thanks Rich.
Were the bonuses even worth it? Certainly before I retired they were not.

I work my second job from my cubicle. There isn’t enough Suncor work to keep me busy so my manager doesn’t even have a clue. I’m sticking around.
I think cost cutting will continue. Too much money being spent on IT implementation and software support. Take SAP only , I heard it’s few millions every year. CNQ has old jde and doing ok.
Multiple people left here. 1 just pulled the retirement, another got a leave of absence to test what they can get elsewhere, another just flat out quit, 4 others left with offers elsewhere. People are fed up. Freddie is a liar, he said with the lay-offs the work would go away with the people. Not true, people are overwhelmed with the extra load, sick of the toxic environment. Everyone is sick to their stomach with the environment this CEO created and unmotivated Everyone is talking about it. Freddie is playing very dirty games with the company.
