Thread regarding Charles Schwab Corp. layoffs

How many MDs and Ds are needed in HR?

This is such a heavy org, probably why dysfunctional. Directors with a few people, Directors on Directors and MDs all over the place. With all the RTO and exception fiasco, why isn’t the HR Dept under more scrutiny? How satisfied are people with HR at Schwab? Me, not impressed for a company this size.

Client interactions are not the same as employee interactions and support. I agree, I just looked at MyConnections and eye opening. And remote weeks is great perk but my last company didn’t track it like this one does.

This may be like FCs, financial consultants in Schwab. They all have VP titles, so when a client interacts with them, they feel important. They are not real VPs. HR could have a ton of Directors and MDs so we feel important. Imagine if you are Director level, individual contributer, and you speak with HR staff who is grade 54. You wont feel importatnt.
