Can I volunteer for redundancy even if I am not at risk?

You definitely can put your hand up and ask for a package. A few people in the UK have done that and been granted, one of which that I know of wasn’t actually at risk of being cut.

Unless you are a line item on a spreadsheet exercise (Salary, grade, ethenticity, eye colour, star sign, age, havent included gender because stat wise that would show up like a sore thumb) you are effectively in cold storage till the LT need cuts to justify the LT wage Bill including LS, which dwarfs Shells CEO and Chairmans wages.

Just stick around, turn up occasionaly in the Office and do everything half assed or not at all. That way when they finaly show you the door just wink and grin at the person escorting you off the premises, move on with your life. I think there will come a point in life where we may all list oilfield Services, rather than BH on our CV through shear embarassment of such a FBN of an OFS

I hate people like this. If you want it ask your manager. Not an online website.
But of course, you don’t actually want it.
Attention seeking is all you’re after.
