Laid off a bunch of people in Massachusetts last week. Moving the jobs to sites in Europe because it’s cheaper. They can get 3 people for the price of 1. Expecting more next year once they’re trained up.

I’m sure the folks in Shannon including the managers are aware of being exploited. The customers are not blind to the result.
Also India (ITC) especially for engineering roles since the local pay is 1/10th of US based engineers. The current wireline director has made no qualms about his intentions to build up ITC and can HTC engineering.

Let’s ask all the Baker Hughes employees under Simonelli’s leadership how many jobs were created or is it just another example of Bad Leadership & constant Gas Lighting.
So you want to know why companies move work out of the US?
It’s because there are no Democrats or Republicans! There are no Sunni or Shiite! There are just have & have nots, mostly politicians who want to tax the he-l out of US tax payers & citizens so they can vote on contracts / legislation that highly benefit their lobbyist donors or legislation that they write to benefit themselves.
Who can remember the last time any politician wrote legislation or voted on legislation that reflected any of the interests that their constituents contact them about.
Government should spend less so they can Tax less and not have companies move out of the USA!
Do you know the positions of the politicians you are voting for?
Have you researched how incumbents have voted on legislative HB’s?
Are you familiar with the legislation that your REPRESENTATIVE congress reps write and if it actually benefits us their constituents or lobbyists and the politicians themselves?
Think about that and then ask yourself why companies are really leaving the USA.

Holy Panametrics Batman. All the senior leadership are in Shannon so it stands to reason. They live simpler lives there with free healthcare offered. Makes the US unable to compete.
Or even more in perhaps China or India.
Maybe that’s the long term plan. Vendor stuff already in the Philippines. Why not move all support offshore and keeping just a few from each in country?
You can get 3 in lat am for everyone 1 in europe... why bother moving it to eu?
