WESTWOOD still empty

Not a huge story, but if anyone cares, the WESTWOOD KMART spot is still empty (and unsurprisingly), there are no businesses lined up to take over that dump:

Yes, I agree with the below poster. I'm not from that state, so I don't Know the local particulars, of course, but from what I have been gleaning online, it appears that whole "mall" might just turn into apartments, or something else, totally different from retail stores.

A few week's ago the Westwood town council announced that they are rezoning the property beyond retail.

Don't be surprised if it all goes away in a few years. Some things just aren't salvageable.

Commercial Real Estate around America is a problem at the moment. No one is buying or renting these empty buildings. That's why regional banks who own these CRE loans are having a tough time right now.

Hopefully it will reopin at some time like Union Gap Sears did. We need more Kmarts. I hope they reopen the Montana Store again with the fancy sign too.

Nobody would want to open another business in that dump of a shopping center, man. That place looks like a zombie apocalypse.
