…and now 13 days later, the ripple effects are starting to pile up. The very strongest employees that know they can have success elsewhere are packing their bags and leaving — they’re not waiting for this dumpster fire to get more intense. You can feel it, and see it happening real-time.

It’s simple really. The leadership “talk track” is full of cr-p… what they say and what they do just aren’t equal. Trust is gone. Innovation is anathema. And the emperor is definitely not wearing anything resembling clothing.

It could have been different. Leadership matters.

It's horrible for those impacted, but the trickle-down effect on customers will be felt, impacting more employees over time.

I've seen other posts out here about not stopping with Maria. They must get rid of other poor leaders that are associated with her. I'd say they drank the Maria Kool-Aid and can't be fixed, but they were already horrible leaders. I agree with others' posts about removing Alistair Wildman, Thimaya, Harry Caldwell, and Jason McClaren. If they got rid of those individuals, Ciscos got a chance to improve. It will take many years. The mess Maria has created will cost Cisco for years to come. If Cisco wants success or more of a downward spiral, then keep Alistair and his leaderless team in place.

Customers have been so negatively impacted by her and the leaders above that it's caused this round of layoffs, with more to come. Take action on those leaders, save jobs, and grow the business. All Alistair knows how to do is cut people. What's he done besides that? NOTHING!!!

Leaders including Sr Managers and Directors don’t understand Cisco products or technology skills engineers or architects have. There is no motivation for them to learn and spend time. They drive business purely on sales numbers and don’t hesitate to put names of their team when pressed for numbers and to protect their own jobs and bonuses. This is the sad reality for those trusted to lead us. The philosophy from Simon Senek or alike on leadership and nurturing your people is out the dumpster.

Technology folks have awakened and know their careers are short-lived when the facts are out leaders have a different agenda. It’s prudent for us to find our stable ground and move out before we get encircled in next LR.

The leadership at Cisco su-ks. It is all about squeezing a lemon dry and execs trying to hit their bonus targets (sales mentality) by sc--wing over good people and products. No idea and no plan for how to invest in the future

And the strong ones that are left are now actively looking at the best ways to exit — with or without another LR. Confidence in leadership is at an all time low.
