Who thinks the latest email from IT Talent management with code name "Resource Reassignment" is a euphemism for reassignment out the door?! I'll be looking left and right for signs of the shepherd's hook to pull me off the CVX stage!

It means we saved a fortune by outsourcing all the donkey work to cheap contractors. We will now fire all the contractors to save money and you high priced employees will do the donkey work instead of whatever value adding projects you were doing before. You will stop building new tools and instead help people add a printer or adjust their monitor settings.
Congratulations, you have been selected to take over the sh!t we dumpèd on the contractors.
Email means a bunch of IT contractors will be replaced by IT employees.
Budget cuts to IT were extreme in the business plan so all the teams had to figure out what work is cancelled. Employees who were doing that work now need to be “reassigned”and will be put into spots currently filled by contractors. If you’re one of those employees, expectation is you need to upskill yourself quickly and perform in the new position.
"Resource Reassignment"... they couldn't telegraph "layoffs" any clearer.
Can someone explain that bullsh-t email to me? I’ve read it four times and still don’t know what it’s trying to say. I didn’t see the IT Town Hall.
Hope you are a master of all skills when doing skill insights
