Looks now we have the conditions for a further reduction in the expat force, any idea when can this happen?

@3xra+1rcwbeX3 where did you get this load of craaap from? I was with Aramco 7.5 years and during that time, there were 3 lay-offs. 2020 was a blood bath.
IMHO, I think the expats are safe for now. Oil still at a decent price, hiring of expats (of quality) is extremely difficult due to salaries & packages being offered and the expat workforce (and a lot of experienced Saudis) are retiring at a record pace. Sit back, enjoy the monthly apology paycheck and enoy your long holidays.
I don't think will be more layoffs, expats between 10 to 15 years in Aramco are resigning or reaching 60 years and Aramco is ready to replace them with the PDP guys.

As others have said before on here, Aramco is now a high risk for expats with actual skills from the first world. No way I’d join on the current deal. Says a lot that the new joiners I’ve spoken to, the first thing they do is take out a $200k bank loan to send home. Just shows the calibre of individuals arriving these days.

As has been said here since the big 2020 layoff, ksa is using aramco as the bank and it’s showing with whom is hired and the lack of investment in taking care of its current employees both local and expat (office work environment quality declines, annual raises aren’t half of inflation so you lose money year over year, new taxes and other “fees” that aramco won’t compensate). That said some areas continue to hire when they can get 5 nothings for the price of 1 experienced to increase headcount to increase promotions for local management. It’s a CAFO with all eating kaka in the trough. Oil price still ok. As for hiring, it’s just gonna depend on where the roulette wheel hits on where you land when it comes to being laid off. For expats especially those of an original belief, never trust the local mgmt. Plenty of stories of stabbing expats in the back and lying to your face as they move up telling funny stories about your treatment. Read the old story…they are expected to.
