Model E heading toward bankruptcy

https://insideevs.com/news/707209/ford-us-ev-sales-january2024/

Ford only sold 1295 Mach E in January. Model E is definitely going to be in bankruptcy this year.

i saw a Mach-E the other day. I did not recognize it at first because the back end looked like any other SUV. It's sad to relate it to the Mustang since it doesn't look sporty, nor does it run like a Mustang.

The Lightning was a poor choice for an initial EV vehicle, and Mach e not much better. It just does not fit the use case of what an EV is all about. A Focus would have been a better choice, but we already could not competitively make a Focus, especially in the US. Ford had to fool the UAW into thinking that EVs would not cost significant jobs in Michigan and other UAW locations, so the F150 was it. Ford and the Democrat party had to gaslight autoworkers into supporting their Michigan job ki-ling EV mandates, so they tried to throw Dearborn Assembly a bone. They are slow learners, but some things become obvious.

I have driven both the Mach E and the Lightning. I don't recommend anyone to buy either one of them. Why?

Poor quality, battery depleted fast, it takes twice as long to charge the batter compared to Tesla, poor fit and finished, noise, poor and outdated styling, battery can only charge up to 200 to 220 miles when the MSRP sticker shows 300 miles, don't rent it because it will take a week to charge. The user screen is no good, it does 30% of what a Tesla user screen can do. Interior is cheap and outdated. Poor ride quality. Engineered and built the old fashion way. No good engineering.

“automakers are finding out the hard way that the rigorous criteria for manufacturing batteries using materials from the United States and its free-trade allies could render them cost-inefficient compared to global competitors.”

It's amazing that Jimmy has noticed that the Ford Focus could be a good choice for EV's or Hybrid's.... now he realizes. Id--t.

Does Jimmy also realize that he could of used ICE engineers in other areas (Hybrid) before calling them neanderthals?

Transfer of knowledge all gone..........sad.

Thank Billy and Jimmy.

Mach E is worse than the Ford Pinto.
EV demand is over with for the next 2-3 years.
The now smarter consumer knows better I.e. reality that they su-k and owning a ford EV is worse than taking a dog 🐶 on vacation. That damn car has to be charged about every hour on a road trip. But a dog can wait 2-3 hours before having to p-e.

I heard on the radio that Rivian is imploding, laying off 10% of it’s salaried work force.

If Ford keeps Model E and using Ford Blue as sugar daddy, the entire company will be in bankruptcy within 3 years.

This is why they just cut the price on the ‘23 Mach-E by thousands of dollars for both retail and AXZ Plan customers, plus added 0% financing. Read Phoebe’s article in the Detroit Free Press.

Model E won’t go bankrupt. They have Ford Blue as their sugar daddy.
