Chucky hired Maria at Geri Elliott's urging. Elliott is long gone and now so is Maria but not because of how she f-ed up CX. She flew too close to the sun and was a potential heir to the throne when CR is ejected. Not saying she would've been a great heir but it's clear with the whole OneX b.s. she wanted to build her own empire and replace Chucky.
