$5-20k depending on your level; MYO, MTO, Sr. MTO, Supt. Don't worry, the sooner you get tied up the sooner they want you back. Burning people out for a d-mb metric is asinine. The cars dwell regardless of location

Another nonsense metric

I really wanted the STB to ask them at the hearings how a car can only be considered to be "dwelling" in a yard and not when it's been tucked away in a set out track in order to not trigger "dwell"

Not moving is not moving...

Or how sending cars everwhere BUT the customer destination rather than put them on the proper trains? All in order to get them out of the yard ASAP and keep dwell down.

Managers will find a way to manipulate metrics in order to #1 bonus #2 keep the hide on their rear in conference calls.

I have to wonder if these overly massaged metrics are not some form of SEC regulated fraud seeing as the numbers are baloney.

It's must be quite a bit if they're willing to slow everything down. Remember, it's about making Vena look good to the investors.
