Apparently the IBDS - the International Brotherhood of Disgruntled Schwabbies - never really gained enough traction. Kinda hard to have closed-door meetings when everyone is defying RTO mandates.

The poster was trying to organize a union on Roblox (Guilded). I couldn't take him or her seriously.

Unionizing will only work at the industry level not company level. See Europe for examples in financial services.

Collective bargaining makes sense in markets where workers lack differentiation or market power. For us this is some retail, call center and a handful of other areas.

The plan is to use AI and automation to decimate those areas and STS, particularly IO. The only saving grace for labor is that this company can’t spell AI with a dismal track record.

Given this, the best course is to forgo unionization and focus on broad items. Fighting or leaving is the way to do this. For those staying, work management, quiet quitting and messaging the Street to impact forecasts will have better results than helping the automation goal where everyone is treated like an interchangeable part. Lawsuits by older workers forced out could also help.
