Thread regarding TIAA (TIAA-CREF) layoffs

T has a 75% approval rating on Glassdoor

Instead of complaining/criticizing on this website that no one outside of TIAA views, post your genuine feedback on a public high visibility forum like Glassdoor reviews.

Most of the positive reviews for the CEO are from employees in India. They have their own CEO and Glassdoor does not differentiate between the two CEOs.

T only cares about her outward appearance. She cares about her public image more than anything else. Posting genuine criticism and feedback will notify potential new employees of all the red flags, but also damage the ego of our EC.

I recently deleted Glassdoor because I got spooked that it was not anonymous. We should be reaching out to journalists and board members. Better yet reporting questionable activities to regulators.

T paid Glassdoor ….lol !
She is not worth for tiaa .. she is just all about marketing her image and spending money on her needs… not for retirees. Shame on her and her leadership team !!!!!!

@EnoughWhining Hilarious. You know if the pension was removed everyone would jump ship. TIAA gets away with paying lower base salaries with the pension. You have a little something on your nose better wash it off.

"Glassdoor is not completely anonymous (I don’t even think this site is tbh) so many don’t post reviews there for fear of being found out."

What is your honest review? What is worse about TIAA/Nuveen than any other major financial company? Be specific.

"Her ratings should be in single digits." are there any major companies you like, or you just come here to complain about everything? What company is good and should get high ratings on Glassdoor? And how is TIAA any worse for regular workers than, say, JPM, Morgan Stanley, Goldman, CITI, or any other major financial? Only TIAA gives retirement benefit - 9% of the salary - in addition to the 3% 401K match. This is literally unique and substantial. 12% of salary is an amazing gift for many.

Give me some specifics - what is so terrible about TIAA?

This web site is known for people complaining and whining about every single company that is involved in layoffs. In my experience, TIAA has been a great place to work for me. And I can compare - worked at several major financial firms over the years. On the whole, the vacation, medical, retirement and other benefits are very good. So are the bonuses (for many). "Most of the positive reviews for the CEO are from employees in India." - most ppl I know in the US offices are also quite happy with their work environment. Even in terms of layoffs, most major financials have made much more drastic cuts. The issue here is the cost base due to the the rising inflation and interest rates. All the major companies are under pressure to cut costs.

Agree. Those numbers are inflated. Also Glassdoor is not completely anonymous (I don’t even think this site is tbh) so many don’t post reviews there for fear of being found out.

Glassdoor has been known to coordinate with HR at companies. Would not be far fetched to think an unfavorable review would lead to creative non-retaliation.

I think Glassdoor data can be manipulated, they may be using some paid services to manipulate her approval ratings. Her ratings should be in single digits.
