I wonder if the EPA or the California Air Resources Board could be persuaded to weigh in on this recall? The vapors from the leaked fuel are unburned hydrocarbons that could cause a defective vehicle to exceed its legal emission limits.

April 10, 2024, at 5:38 a.m. (Reuters) - Ford will recall 42,652 Bronco Sport and Escape vehicles in the United States due to cracked fuel injectors that may leak and cause a fire, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) said on Wednesday.

Old since 5:38 am. Maybe you are one of our team members who looks the other way when issues are discovered internally or you work in purchasing and just concerned about cost vs reliability for the customer.

This is old news. That recall has been out there for over a year. They should replace the fuel injectors rather than do this lame recall “repair”
