Corp Culture - My two cents on the topic, a lot of places are just full of people who always agree with everything. If you try to be different or disagree, they pretty much try to push you out. Schwab does have some cool leaders, but they’re too scared to say anything against the flow because they don’t want to get in trouble. It’s like, this is the vibe at Schwab that execs are into. That’s why so many newbies ended up leaving Schwab, figuring out the hard way that caring about employees is old news there.

Sorry you feel this way op. In my opinion saying no to something you know is ethically not right is the better thing to do. I personally had to stand up to some leaders and say no this is not right. Yes they treaded me badly but I knew in my heart I was doing right by the clients. I'm still here they are gone. Do the right thing even if it's hard to convince the rest of the sheep. You would be surprised you can change things for the better.

Hate to break it to you but everybody who was brutally terminated (laid off or forced to resign) thought the same thing you did. But it's not too late to find something else that pays more.
Be happy while you can until they start nit-picking your performance. Then the whole "this is a hard conversation..." script will come when they ask you into a meeting room. Nothing to do with your performance. Just management being d*cks.
Boeing in the making?
The way things are, you basically have to be a di-k to be a leader at Schwab. Only if you are an AH you get promoted director and above. Have consistently seen reasonable people side lines to be replaced by AH who basically gets average outcome but make it look like it's a good outcome.

Govt Schwab!
We've always had unique culture, but when Visa took over technology it fell off the cliff. Those who'd been in leadership and remained became less influential and those who were new disrupted everything before typically leaving. They knew that they'd pulled the pin and the grenade was going off.
STS has failed so badly and wasted so much money and time. It isn't weekday quarterbacking. It's objective failure and plainly evident. The only success is in redefining success. And it happens a lot.
For those yes men and women, yup, it's a paycheck and a better path to promotion. But one has to wonder if they are best for the company or for those who are clearly in it for themselves.
