Love when you get recognized by upper management for going above and beyond, but your recognition requires you to pay for it. Because your $500,000 salary compared to my $50,000 means I should pay. This company is a joke and I am just biding my time until something better comes along.

lol they hire slow ppl
No wonder 3M is in trouble with people that don’t even understand their paycheck working there.
Wow what a d-mb post. The company pays both the award and the taxes on the award, and both are in addition to your salary.
Another travesty. Nothing new.
That's now how it works. The company pays the incurred taxes for your recognition award (everyday wins or equivalent). In some countries, it is 100% tax, so for a 500 point ($50) award, the cost that the company pays is $100.
If you look at your paystub, you'll see the offset for taxes so that you aren't actually paying for that recognition.
Mike will simply retire to Marco island with $100M. Too bad 3M Radar is gone. I loved seeing where Mikey is off too. Have to imagine he’s headed to Augusta this weekend.
3M has the feel of an empire in its final days before a rapid crash and burn. The Roman Empire (the real one, not Mike's) had emperors and nobles milking everything they could in the final years.
The same happened at the end of the Soviet Union as Politboro members vacationed on the Black Sea while the Evil Empire was going into death mode.
What are the M&M boys going to do when the gravy train dries up?
Somehow I figure Peter is going to finagle his way along under Brown for a few years since he will do the dirty work Brown wants (slash stranded costs when the Empire is broken into pieces)
What do you mean you pay for being recognized? I wasn't following your comment.
Those in management who spend their days attending meetings and presenting powerpoints full of content provided by the people actually doing the work truly believe they deserve to earn more than you.
