Where is the time?

With limited work hours at our disposal, struggling to finalize all assigned duties is inevitable. The burden intensifies when confronted with extraordinary visual expectations. Stores lacking devoted visual experts face unprecedented obstacles.

What about all the bad surveys where customers say they can't find anybody to check them out. They know what's going on . They just don't care. What a joke how everybody rushes to get the store looking good when a visit is coming. Maybe the managers and hr people can ignore what is right in front of them but the customers and associates can't.

I’m not sure they know what’s going on. Visits are announced way ahead, all payroll will be spent in three days to get store immaculate (actually just visible parts of it) and everyone will be looking positive and cheerful presenting it to bosses. So I’m not sure that avoiding casual store visits collecting great paychecks individuals actually has any idea how that business exists on daily basis. Nor do they care.

The people in charge know exactly what’s going on. They want what is commonly known as ‘controlled chaos’. There always is an emergency be it lack of hours, lack of employees, a last minute store corporate visit, you name it…this is all carefully crafted by Don Hendricks himself, a true snake in the grass who will do ANYTHING to avoid going into a store himself. He hates going into stores and will cancel last minute frequently for any reason.

Absolutely. But it’s happening for years, undeniably effecting sales negatively, without being recognised as a problem by decision making people in charge.
