There is a new video of the Sears in Union Gap on YouTube now from 6 days ago. The store looks great. It is full of soft line merchandise at liquidation prices. Very nice remodel of the store. No customers or sales, but the store looks good.

What does this have to do with layoffs? Writing about a "The store looks great", in a layoff forum, is like writing about an anorexic dude in an obesity forum, or writing about a guy who never had a Drink, in an Alcoholics group page.
Entirely off topic, for this forum...
Really Yakima metro area, population about 257,000, but that's still pretty tiny.
Liquidation prices and still no customers or sales???? Really pathetic.
Union Gap, WA population 6500. That's no comeback. Probably some sort of tax shelter.
It should look great. They closed it to give it a fresh coat of paint, and no customers to mess up the displays. My question is: What's the point?
They’re using this store to sell the merchandise from the stores that are closed and will be closed. Sears is a dinosaur that needs to die.
Eddie is coming to yell at you! NEVER call them Customers. They are Members! This is one of the things he said needed to change to get more Members and to keep existing Members. Call them by what they want and deserve to be called by. All other retailers continue to use despicable terms such as Customers. Eddie Knows! The sales will be ringing true and heavy if you just follow the musings of the Great One!
There are 11 Sears stores still open, including this one and another in Burbank CA, both of which reopened last fall.
Thought they closed all the Sears stores?
