Employees from different departments, including Data Science, TAM (Technical Account Management), and GDS (Global Data Science), reported being let go as of this morning (Thur 4/4/2024 to be exact). The pattern of layoffs described includes being locked out of company systems shortly after receiving the news, with meeting invitations for the layoffs often sent the same day, sometimes only 1 or 2 hrs before the meeting scheduled on a short notice (some, better, managers might place the meeting the night before as a subtle warning).
See the long thread here on layoffs.com and you'll see all the frustration over the lack of loyalty from the company, despite years of service, so new hires or potential candidates are certainly thinking twice now.
It's grim, sh-t keeps repeathing and I am not seeing things improving any time soon. Maybe it's time for me to leave (unless they cut me first)
