Customers look into options if shipping prices are getting ferocious or just quit ordering until prices recede. Reasonable shipping rates keep the steady revenue coming in for wise package carriers.
Shipping by carrier is a convenience when it is affordable. But the day is fast approaching customers will rent a large Uhaul and pool the close by neighbors pick ups at the Amx or Wal warehouse themselves. Drive 200 miles back to the neighborhood warehouse for drop offs then return truck locally Trucks rent for $19.99 per day plus insurance. One planned trip per week would do it. Cost about .10 cents per box to deliver if enough people in pool. Plus could buy in bulk from warehouse.
