Do any current employees in Cary know what the salary range for a sr dev is in R&D? Getting shafted in my current position (go figure) and looking to move to another team for a higher position as unfortunately leaving the company is not currently an option.

Depends on the group you are in.

I heard somewhere (or maybe imagined) that sr went to 170? Can you get a bump for changing groups?
Salary ranges are probably a better question for GlassDoor. I come here for less varnished truth, because I'm certain that SAS works to get negative (read: truthful) reviews removed from GlassDoor, or at least hidden, and to promote positive ones. Part of the new hire process involves steering people to sites like GlassDoor to leave reviews that promote SAS (they probably describe it as "optional" but "appreciated"). SAS HR wants the company to appear relevant, young, and fun, but it's dying.
