I would love to know how certain people seem to be able to get time off every other week or so - no joke- while the rest of us are told there is not capacity. The rules don’t appear to apply to all of us equally.

All of you complaining about how you cannot get PTO. Michael announced his retirement at the beginning of the year and was able to bid for PTO until June without a problem. Stop whining, it clearly is not a problem to get 6 mo of PTO on the 12th floor.
Call in sick if you want a day off
Having to take at least a day and a half off every two weeks is a good problem.
Yup after years of working and accruing PTO that I could not use I am now in the position of having to take days just so I can continue to earn days. My apologies to all of the 2 year employees who somehow seem to burn through their PTO, Life Leave and Celebration Day before the end of February. I feel for you, not.
Depending on their tenure, they may be burning PTO so they can actually continue to accrue it.
People schedule it ahead of time. This is possibly the worst place to ask anything about the company, few posting seem to actually work here, so take everything with a grain of salt. Yes, people check every month and take a day or two off three months out. Sometimes PTO piles up, and you need to sort of burn it or lose it, and you might see people seeming like they have a day off every other week, sometimes that is the case. Sorry for posting a real answer here, back to one liners and oddly childish rumors.
People are so lazy. Learn to beat them at their own game. When pto bid comes out. Take random times. Every month I'll have a 4 or 5 day weekend. Take more than u think you'll need and then if you decide you don't. You can give it back. It's not that complex. Also- do your job well. I know everyone says it doesn't matter. It does. Been here for over 15 years and never had an issue with flex or pto especially within the last 5 years. They've made improvements. Wah wah wah
It's what you say that either allows it or not. Learn to play their game. Honesty is not in the cards.
You’ll learn to schedule random days 6 months in advance like the rest of em.
PTO for thee, but not for me. Waahhhhh........
