Reflecting on the past few years and all the changes, reshuffles, and choices in personnel, (and I'm talking about management here) it appears that Ford's leadership is set on getting rid of anyone who's smart, reliable, or genuinely concerned about the company's employees. Am I wrong?

That is going to be his legacy, not a dilapidated train station
No, you're pretty much on point.
You're not wrong. Reading this thread is interesting, because it validates my own observations. I'm only aware of my own department, but it seems like a widespread issue.
Due to a combination of retirement and explosive growth, people were promoted into positions they were either not ready for or not suited to.
Now the effects are starting to be felt.
Ol'e JF is a diversity hire himself, of course he loves diversity, HE WAS BORN IN ARGENTINA. Talks big game about being from Detroit, then abandons them. Go back to Argentina JF, go run a bank like your Dad, why would a bank owner move to the U.S.A and abandon their country like that, makes you wonder what kind of family JF has in Argentina to just up and leave like that and pretend Detroit is home. If you dare question how DEI isn't racist, they call you racist!! classic. You can't make any argument against it without being called Racist. Even Chat GPT will do cartwheels claiming it isn't racist!! ha.
Nobody seems to care anymore. You email a business owner on behalf of a dealer and they ghost you. Not even a response that says go away, nope, nothing at all. how much more disrespectful does it get to just not reply. Imagine you make eye contact with a group of fellow employees in an elevator and you say Good Morning and they just stare blankly ahead. yea, its kinda like that. rude. and this is the Ford way. What happen to quality, nobody cares. Remember when quality was job one? Why are the trucks parked at the speedway Bill? Huh.
What about the DEI (did not earn it) cr-p they like to promote? What about the best person for the job period? When did reverse discrimination become legal? When you promote people based on s-x or skin color, bad things will happen.
When Ford lost Jac Nasser is a good example of a former transformational leader who ford needs to get back
@1krl+1rIZrspR - thank you!! All excellent points. We wasted so much money and time focusing on the wrong company(Tesla). Let’s get back to basics and mirror Toyota.
I'd you watched the townhall today you know Ford has management problems. 1) Management acted like they discovered cold fusion when they talked about Toyota's quality. I hate to point out that Ford's been benchmarking Toyota's since the benchmark center reopened nearly 20 years ago. 2) it took 3 months or more for management to compile and cascade objectives for 2024, but they announced they want GSR's to do the same in a week ... which was then immediately followed up with emails from my LL5 and LL6 with instructions to have them submitted by cob today because our director keeps asking about them. Talk about poor planning and management of resources. 3) We have to listen to Mommy Ford Land tell everyone to clean up after themselves if they make a mess at a work station. Working at Ford is mentally exhausting, and not because of the productive work, but because of the constant reorgs and last minute assignments that need to be completed ASAP.
No one wants the jobs any more. Are you kidding me for LL6...all the work you used to do + pandering? No thanks...squeeze everything you can out of them as a GSR. Figuratively flip them the bird when they ask you about promotions because after all there's no better way to sc--w you then "We'd like you to consider management." How insulting...stay away.
People who cared about conservative principles and our core customer are no longer working at this company. Didn’t you get the memo? Think like a startup!
Many LLs and GSRs who were not “yes” men were let go. Most a-s lickers and those who did not have their own opinions were left.
It's not the competition in the market place that has and is destroying FOMOCO. The company has been ki-ling itself from within for years. Poor management decisions and undeserved promotions have created an atmosphere of dispair. People who once cared, are now just putting in their time waiting to leave. The upper management hacks are there for the quick buck without any concern for the future of the company. This current trend has all happened under Billy's watch...
