Pioneer in the years had had some incredible professionals and managers and at the same time bootlickers that did manage to climb upward. In my 20 with Mama Pioneer, I saw them in many departments; including the several that I worked in. Some got weeded out and others kept climbing upward. Lessons learned (1.) be nice to your consultants they may be your boss and (2.) watch the Hun's they invade from the northern lands. The combination will be the great equalizer like when Mesa and Parker and Parsley combined, kn--e fights in the halls for 2-3 years body counts and careers ended suddenly, people licking the wrong pair of boots. Pot being sold off the mail cart just to ease the nerves. Working for Exxon may sound bad but not having a job and having a medical insurance monthly payment of $1,200.00 if not fun, especially if you are near 50 years of age.

LOL took until takeover to realize managers don’t follow their rules.
Poor guy still hasn't realized that the rules only apply to us peasants
I'm confused, I thought no one got offers until after closing due to that fine line they're constantly talking about not crossing. 'Legally can't provide information about salaries, benefits, etc until after closing'.
VPs and Directors have received their offers.
The answer is in you statement.
LTIP?
Org structure? Sh-t rolls downhill.
What’s the org structure?!

Dunno why Exxon would want to keep any of those bootlickers
