What's happening to Cisco is nothing new and likely the same behavior within any large corporation. Regardless if you're a For-Profit, Non-Profit or Not-for-Profit company, greed (and sometimes power) will always be the #1 objective. If you have to grind you're employees down to a nub to achieve that goal then so be it. There's plenty of people looking for a job.
Some even purchase another company that historically lost 100's of $$Millions over the last couple of years and include that as a missed goal for employees crippling their annual bonus. VP's and up are exempt from that of course.
