Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

HESS Disaster ... Thanks RM

CVX Market Cap: ~300 Billion$
CVX Current Oil Production ~ 3 Million BBL/day

HESS Market Cap: ~ 45 Billion$
We are Paying ~ 60 Billion$
HESS Current Out Production ~ 300K BB/day

We are paying 20% of our Company value to buy 10% of Equivalent Production. You may think then we should be paying LESS than 10% of our Market Cap but the smart (aka stupid) spin master's were diverting the focus on Guyana assets and it's lucrative future

Then K-Bo-m.... Even this part has hairs and tails. Exxon wanted to extract another pound of flesh. Why Exxon is doing this?

Because they can? Why they can and we Can not?

Because we are weak, and suffered massive brain drain in the last 3 years. Thanks to RM social engineering. The previous post about using security to mentally torture and te--orize employees as an extra hand of RM is frightening.

The shares are free falling again despite all the buy back attempts every few days.

RM needs to go as it is getting very very very scary now. The employees are suffering mental health issues because of the injustice and abuse they have seen from CVX HR and I have no doubt what so ever that this will come in a massive group law suite sooner or later. The writing is on the wall and if CVX does not clean its hand form RM. they will be in deep sh-t.

Let's hope this happen soon so we can keep our 401K's and CIP in good shape ...

I know all the posts by Popcorn because I know his distinctive style and I live on this site 24-7, this site is my life. Sometimes I call other posters popcorn also by mistake, well, in fact that's pretty much all of the time, but please disregard that, in fact I don't have a clue, but I do live on this site.

By the way Popcorn, how is that pension annuity working out for you these days? Real dollar value is half what it was I am guessing.

No, that's incorrect. popcorn was a JB fan and promoted DEI and things like that, if I remember correctly. He had taken the lump sum to pay for some operation to transition? the main issue that he would gripe about constantly is having to spend all of his savings for the operation. I'm pretty sure he/she was one of those who always feels someone else should pay for whatever.

The OG Popcorn was likely anti-vax based on his posting style. Maybe COVID got him.

"popcorn" was a frequent poster some years ago, laid off before the pandemic, he was a Trumper with many conceding posts focused on anyone he considered liberal or otherwise unworthy (e.g., millennials in general). His tag line was "ROTFLMAO keep it up until I can make some popcorn". He was a big advocate on taking the pension annuity and other misguided financial advice. I have not recognized him posting in years (his posts were rather distinctive), but he obviously had an impact on some. ;-)

We can’t continue to expect the buy your way into new reserves… we need an exploration program that can actually find hydrocarbons! Get some Sr managers that understands “risk” is not a bad word. Identity some new targets and drill some new holes.

I worked with Exxon leaders in TCO and they cannot be more frustrated from what they have seen from CVX managers and HR.

They were shocked of the quality of the people that we were trying to promote into freaking key positions.

One of them was saying he has no idea how Chevron can be an oil major and how can Exxon be partners with them unless they keep quiet and let Exxon run the show and collect a pay cheque.

The stories about the security team in Tengiz are horrific. They think they are law and order for employees. They use illegal interrogation techniques and multiple locals and expats complained about mental and emotional torture from these guys. One of them said they have one guy who used to work in anti te---r task forces and thinks every employee is a te------t that he tries to mentally break. We heard these horror stories multiple times and many people complained but CVX had dead ears until things started to creep into law suits, criminal investigations and the media.

If you are an Exxon boss who have seen CVX incompetence, why would you ever want to partner with them in your most promising asset unless you can really put them under full control to avoid them middling into how you can run this business. Exxon is doing the right thing to protect its value and we will have no choice but to comply and eat the humble pie with whatever XOM give us. Which could be nothing.

Good approach, but not all barrels are the same. The future value of Guyana production per barrel is probably higher than any of ours. If Esso doesn’t steal it away, it might be a good deal.
