Venture Capital vs Management Consulting & Why It's Meaningful to Avaya

Bain & Company ==Venture Capital.

If Bain is in loved, as others have indicated, I think it's worth noting...

They don't get involved unless they can have skin the in game. Some comments on here imply they are just a contract/fee-for-service advisory firm. They are not. They decline fee-for-service engagements on a regular basis. When you learn that Bain is involved at any level, that denotes a few things

  1. They intend to help reshift ownership
  2. They are considering ownership/equity themselves

I encourage you all to read up on this firm further to get a better handle on what it means that Bain is engaged with Avaya.

If this is the mental level of former employees of Avaya, no wonder you got canned. D-mb as a rock. If current employees, no wonder this company was failing until now.

BS

Bain make most of their money from straight up fee basis

They will not be interested in fishing the tu-d out of the punch bowl that is Avaya without getting paid

It’s sure sign AM has lost the confidence of the Board.

They are smart and can see there is no way out for us so will just charge a few
Million and walk away after providing a cost reduction plan

There use denotes there may be a disposal coming up as a shareholder wants out and will try and get them to inflate the value

At least the slow death is now accelerating and it will be over soon
