Salary Negotiation

Does Fidelity negotiate the initial salary offer when you are hired? Worth pushing back on?

As external hire into Vp 8 role a couple of years ago ( was external but a boomerang). Recruiter gets your ask and then has to run it by a compensation team. Revised offer had different configuration of salary, shares, and signing bonus. I would just do one ask and if possible research where you stand in the salary range for given grade and function, what they pay people in comparable roles with similar experience, in advance is best.

I know one of my colleague once negotiated the offer with a competing offer, and she, at the same level as me, earns ~10% higher than me. Not a mgmt position.

Everything’s negotiable to some extent.

Nope. Not unless it's an executive mgmt position. Director or above

Depends on role and location. Entry level roles or service roles, unlikely.
