Vast majority of MDT profits go to shareholders in the form of dividends. That's what they mean by value, nothing more.

Share buybacks to artificially try and keep price up
Dividends to keep institutional shareholders happy

Neither of the above help the retail investor like you and me and they don't give a flying fk about us anyway.
