Vast majority of MDT profits go to shareholders in the form of dividends. That's what they mean by value, nothing more.
Share buybacks to artificially try and keep price up
Dividends to keep institutional shareholders happy
Neither of the above help the retail investor like you and me and they don't give a flying fk about us anyway.
Allowing good for nothing investors to pillage the company's dividends instead of reinvesting them in the company's long-term success.

It means to be more efficient (less people), and provide better bottom like earnings. In other words, squeeze the life out of you
It's code for everybody needs to work harder with less so that our shareholders can make more money from Medtronic stock.
