It seems like the mass layoffs of IT workers are over since DKs departure. It seems like the current CDIO might get it and actually have a plan to make this company Better for IT Workers. Am I stupid/naive for thinking that?

DK was a dalmatian. The fact that he passed any sort of interview process to become the CIO in the first place should continue to give you pause about the current ELT.
Should we feel safe from layoff threats? I think so. My vp seems to be candid with me and tells me not to worry about it.
Should we be safe from idiocracy? It doesn't look that way. Better than the DK days yah! but how low was that bar?
