He is the chairman of the board, he is going nowhere, just like the guy before him...
He needs to bounce the share price first, before he can cash out.
Watch for risky moves to pump the share price to $60.
He LIED to the street about Cisco's AI potential!!! Fire this guy, get someone good and can then 'maybe' get back on track
Hire someone like Satya Nadella
Needs to be the best
If you're the best CEO do you want to create something great at an unencumbered company or fail to fix 40 years of technical debt at a declining legacy dinosaur? The same applies to everyone else at every level of the company.
Business is not a deterministic problem. Not all businesses of any size can tackle any problem. "Just doing the right thing" won't yield infinite growth. Best at one thing is not best at all things. You are always limited by the quality of staff who will sign on. All higher positions are sought by the political and power hungry. All this means someone who is "best" by a wide range of measures could still be a major fail in the CEO role at Cisco.
What's wrong with that? 90% of all engineers are Indians at Cisco.
Cisco has had full decades to get all the subsystems in a box to boot and they still don't. Personally I wouldn't want to be claiming near complete ownership of Cisco's quality.
Would be better if Chucky will not last more than 6 DAYS!!!!!
Someone like Nikesh Arora.
Needs to be the best
Irrelevant of diversity, this shouldn't be shor horned and merit should shine alone
Could be a dog as long as it can steer the ship and deliver growth in a good way
Narcissistic Chucky is leaving a HUGE mess for his successor
Do you really think Chuck is interested in expending the amount of effort that is going to be required to put this flaming dumpster fire out? Not on your life.
After a decade of collecting a huge paycheck while watching the fire get bigger year after year and effectively doing nothing about it, he's going to leave his keys on his desk, walk out the door, and start counting all of the money he made while laying off tens of thousands of employees over his tenure. The decade of layoffs, due to "focusing on growth markets", clearly weren't successful in achieving their stated goal under his leadership, but they sure made him rich.
can rehire DG and his band of CIsco kids from WD so we can be rid of him
