Some facts finding call to listen and share if you got access. Perhaps how many cuts and where, and ELT answer tough questions on why LR is the new Cisco way, or may be not. So tune in…

As predicted, they did a "pivot" to a rah-rah session, the highlight of which CR had a 5-min chat with the NVIDIA guy, and now we rule the world in AI. Just like we were to rule the world in cloud, until we didn't.
Maria came on (word salad) and then Liz (more word salad), but I missed what she said, since I nodded off.

for what its worth, the call went exactly how everyone predicted above. I tried asking few hard questions but as expected it was not picked up.

Last time they celebrated the LR by congratulating Chuck on his anniversary. I find it hard to go much lower than that.

D-mb down the offerings with offshore knuckleheads, promote failures to directors 6 months ago (in failing technology domains), and the same failure ELT. No repercussions for the years of failures from mm and chuckie boy. Just more social equity nonsense and reverse discrimination. Customers are tired of the same garbage, year after year. Changing the name of p-o to ice cream doesn't make it ice cream. Of course the same thought process applies to calling a cow a horse when it's still a cow but the company thinks that's what we should be celebrating as opposed to running a floundering company.

We all know what will be said. Perhaps some intro from a leading specialist in dealing with changes like this to show empathy. Then a discussion on the numbers first (factual) and how the market headwinds are driving us to change and rebalance our investment dollars to higher growth areas and change is painful. Some speak of AI growing relevance, how we are still early in that space but have very exciting (incredibly exciting) new things that we cannot tell you about because they are so secret. Bring in in a very passionate and exuberant person from inside/outside to pump up the energy around this is just the beginning. Oh yea, and claim wild success at CiscoLive in EMEA. Cue the QA with gleeful employees talking about how they are crying because they are so happy to be working here.

I will be on it.
They will beg us to amplify “the message” which will be coming in Tuesday’s Beat.
They will feign empathy between giggles and drone on about transparency—while telling us nothing.
Basically, they are priming us to reinforce and amplify the same BS you’ll be fed on Tuesday.

Not much would be said except we need to save on cost due to low customer demand in some regions while some regions still growing but not to make up totally for the loss. They are not going to say they hired too many during covid. They are not going to say they sc--wed up. They are going to make it look like they were innocent and had no choice but to take these drastic measures if they want to grow in the future. Same stuff we have heard for the past 30 years. Just a waste of everyone's time. The problem is there is no accountability from the top. They will blame economic turbulence due to high interest rates, high customer inventory, etc. Mark my words and let me know if this is what they say. I don't work for Cisco, but this the shetty stuff they keep repeating at my company. Every company that's going downhill says the same economic headwinds causing challenges. Management will never ever ever take any accountability cause they do not want to lose their job making millions doing nothing all day and they don't want to be sued by employees. They will keep it general, and never go into any details. Also, the questions are mainly made up and they tend to take the easy ones. Every big corporation has similar management (as if they all went to the same school and had the same professors teaching them all the same thing).
Just do your work, get the training and skills and certifications, and get paid doing it as long as you can.
