Any red badges impacted

Red badges from which organizations got impacted?

They flushed out many red badges within last 6 months?

I've always been critical of the massive amount of red badges at Cisco - I understand the business model, but RB's tend to have no vested interest in (Cisco), but only the company they work for, directly. If their employment contract is terminated by Cisco, they are just placed somewhere else by their employer. No Ties to the company = no loyalty. No loyalty means no 2nd effort.

What a terrible way to treat the red-badges. Most of them work harder than the blue!

@frk+1r6YArl0, in my experience, red badges are let go 1-2 weeks before the end of a quarter, where as employees hear about the LR in the earnings call, notified the next day or two (in the US), and are terminated in 30-ish days and paid the remainder of the 60-day required notice as "in lieu of notice" plus the severance package to entice you to agree not to sue.

I agree that red badges are notified on their last day, although some teams treat their red badges better if they liked them and didn't deem them a risk and would give them 2 - 4 wks notice that they would not be renewed so they could start looking for new roles ahead of time. It's when BU's have to shed red badges to cut costs as part of the LR that they gut cut anywhere between a couple of weeks before the end of the quarter up to the end of the quarter. They rarely renew red badges contracts into the new quarter just to terminate them a couple of weeks later after the earnings call. The person hours spent updating the statements of work, getting them approved and signed for just a few weeks isn't worth the cost when they can just end it just before they expire.

Red badges are not employed by Cisco, but by the supplier. Cisco will just terminate contract between themselves and the supplier. They will have a termination for convience clause in contracts. If you are red badge or contractor you are NOT employed by Cisco… so therefor not covered by any employment contract directly held by Cisco.

Red badges aren't notified the same as blue because they aren't covered under WARN. Reds usually find out on the their last day, sometimes a week before. So if most blues last day is march 15th, look for reds to find out around then. YMMV, but that's been my experience
