Is there any chance ,that cisco layoff will effect on freshers for converting them onto full time? mainly for engineering?

two things have to happen for an intern to convert: (1) the BU needs to have a req (fresh grade or anything) (2) the BU wants u. First one is virtually impossible right now.
I've heard situations where contractors, depending on the org, can't be hired as FTEs until next fiscal year due to budget restraints. So, it's entirely possible this will push things like your situation back, as well, but it'll be a toss-up. You'd think all these layoffs would loosen the budget up, but I suppose the savings are going into the pockets of execs.

It should affect them as much as everyone else. The only ones that are kevlar are the ELT and those in the protected class.
