Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

LR allocated fund $800 millions, 5% reduction equals to $200K each

Simple math, $800m / ~4000 = Approx $200K per LRed employee. You can easily break it down further with numbers of months in pay, and benefits etc.

$800m allocation this time is larger than previous LR allocate of $600m. That means larger LR benefits or targeted senior folks in rank of Sr Managers and Directors… Who are the highly paid employees?

You don’t know what that $800m is for. It could be to break leases on buildings, or to pay penalties to jilted customers when they close a product line. Or any of 100 other reasons.

You think if you’ve been at Cisco 2 years vs someone who’s been there 15 years would get the same 200k? Lol
Been on that train ride and tenure plus country you’re in and labor laws are all contributing factors

Ha! Aren’t you the sharpest tool in the she! Bro, 5% is wave one. They had four waves after they announced to the street last time.

Don’t believe anything the ELT says.

The last was 4% this is 5% … stop doing stupid math …. All segments growing will be less affected. Observability, security etc. hardware is toast. Mostly European cuts
