After 12 years, I walked. I already heard that stores will be cutting the ASM to 1 per store, and the DS position will be eliminated. Again. 9 years? ago they tried this. It didn't go well.
I'm fine with it all. Most ASM's are worthless, narcissistic abusers, who have that title, do not work hard. They also cheat, hide SOS return stuff, buy for 99% off. No accountability, they steal appliances. I've never seen such corruption! Tell your boss? Your life becomes a nightmare.
I had to leave because I can't watch the fraud. I'm sure they'd try to pin it on me!
Watch your back! Lowe's corporate su-ks, and outsourcing HR just gave $ to worthless India! They su-k at everything!
Get off the sinking ship, or be lazy like so many others!

Cuts have started in region 21.Corporate doing 3 different waves and trying all ways to get out of paying severance
Do we know when the assistant store managers and supervisors going to be cut in Utah?
they hired a PSI specialist when that program was active two weeks later they let the girl go and discontinued the program
21 managers at my store .Store Manager ,ASM's ,Supervisors .Crazy ,slow store sales .They keep adding them ,just added a MST ASM ,why ?
A lot of medium box retailers have a store manager, 1 asm and some key holders to fill in, then the rest of the associates are mainly part time. I don’t see the big box stores like Lowes or Home Depot adopting that business model. Perhaps cutting the asm head count, sure, but going with one seems unlikely. I would predict that full time associates will not be replaced with anything other than part timers. I think the $5000 asm bonus is a carrot to entice people to want to step up and get promoted. Also used to keep asm on their toes. I’m positive that the higher ups are aware that not all asms are productive and many cause people to want to quit. Some asms are good and deserving of their bonuses. Bottom line, anyone is replaceable. The company has d-mbed down roles for a reason, pay people less.

This ^^^. Being given a bonus and then being let go would, in Lowe's eyes, be the "nice" way to be let associates go. Think of it as an "End of tenure" gift.

And why would our manager be scheduling a 90 minute pre-open meeting with ALL us employees in a few weeks? Makes one wonder.
