Thread regarding Disney layoffs

What exactly is going on? Any advise is welcome!

So I currently don't work at the Walt Disney Company; but, I've always wanted to. I've applied for various Software engineer roles within the company where I have the experience required (and sometimes have way more experience than what is being asked); but, haven't heard anything from a recruiter or anyone else. I've always wanted to work for Disney so something like this is definitely discouraging. Is there something more that I can do to help my chances? Or any advice that anyone has on how to better my chances?

"They don't hire based on qualifications. They hire based on DEI quotas. This has been verified. Hiring managers have to keep DEI diaries. Don't know about your background but if you are a certain demographic that is not needed for quota you will never get the job."

the US is like a fast moving train wreck, sigh
this is not going to end well

The response below is correct. If you do not fit an identity profile, your resume is likely not even being looked at.

Reach out to ppl on LinkedIn or maybe work with recruiting agencies that can place you there. Having "Disney" on your resume will help you stand out there for sure.
