I agree with the last post, stop the Nielsen employee on Nielsen employee hate and let’s support each other.

Stakeholders are trying to wear us down and they are reveling when they read some of these posts.

There is nothing that can be done, our jobs are going to India-Poland-Mexico.

What we need is an employee advocate group to make sure that all people impacted by this are treated fairly and within legal parameters.

Just as MRs receive “bonuses” for agrees, sales associates receive “bonuses” for meeting revenue goals and other business areas receive bonuses if they meet business goals. These bonuses are standard parts of compensation packages in tech and even entry level, straight out of college associates are eligible at Nielsen.

There are hundreds, if not thousands of entry-mid level employees making wayyyy less than $200k that just lost a large part of their compensation. These coworkers stood in support last year and did not receive any merit increases despite 18% inflation so that the lowest paid in the US could see raises. They are now paid less money than a year or even two years ago… both in raw numbers and adjusting for inflation.

We are all here because we need our paychecks to sustain our families. Lets support each other.

There's a lot of in-fighting on this board, which does nothing but serve the people who are doing this to us. Guys, I make $40k after an embarrassing number of years and am not eligible for any bonus, but my struggle doesn't mean I don't think anyone else shouldn't get paid for the work they did or be upset that they're not getting what they expected. You think Nielsen is giving these people bonuses like they're in the c-suite? No, it's part of a carefully formulated compensation package that is for sure as low as they could make it without losing too much talent.

We've got people on here sh-----g on each other for asking for too much, expecting too little, being losers who will struggle finding a new job... Just honestly what the fu-k???? We're all in the same boat.

Considering bonuses were paid in full last year to those laid off along with two weeks per year severance, it is absolutely a kick in the teeth to know this is more downgrading of what is essentially our severance package. Fu--ing miss me with acting like everyone who gets a bonus is some rich cry baby. I have people on my team who haven’t gotten raises in the last two, three years, this bonus was their raise and now it’s likely part of their severance that just got further reduced.

jfc the hate for labor in this country (US) where we’re never supposed to complain and esp not about reduced benefits is infuriating.

It's total BS. I was gonna put a pool in my backyard with my bonus, but instead I was enrolled in a Jelly of the Month Club.

“So it’s only okay to complain about certain types of impacts on compensation?”

This is a layoff forum. Discussions regarding severance are on topic and make sense. Crying about your bonus amount isn't what this forum is for.

I thought this was tone-deaf too before I started getting a bonus and realized it's not actually icing on top of a cake, it's a substantial part of people's salaries. Maybe take a deep breath and re-focus on what's actually disappointing you

I agree. It’s tone deaf to be complaining about bonuses when most don’t get them or even a living wage at this place. It’s like the people making over $200k crying about only getting a year of severance. Boohoo

On the other hand, people rely on bonuses to meet their expenses, especially if their wages are not keeping up with inflation.

You people are just so ignorant it's mind blowing. People are being laid off due to cuts and you are complaining that you are not getting 100% bonus. Maybe Nielsen should lay off a few more people just to ensure you id--ts can get your 100% bonus.

My bonus is capped at 40% which is a lot less than others in this place, don't hear me complaining. But then again maybe that's because I am not as ignorant and thinking the world revolves around me and my needs. I'm grateful I am getting something despite the multiple lay offs.

Lucky to be getting any bonus at all. Selfish, ignorant monkeys the lot of you. No wonder you're getting laid off. Audience Measurement seems like such a toxic place to be a part of. Full of old grumpy dinosaurs.

Makes me sick to my stomach.

Have they announced this yet? Super disappointing (but not surprising) if true

I’ve also seen the same thing. After cutting 20% of the staff, skipping raises last year, telling us that almost all of us will be laid off, and that we’ll have to train our replacements… now they’re also cutting our bonuses in half. What a shortsighted vision.
