I’ve always thought HyVee had a good 401k plan. News flash we don’t. HyVee retirement plan is under matched by HyVee. We need to demand a change for our 401k retirement. HyVee should at least match dollar for dollar up to 5%. That is about the market standard anymore. I’ve seen company match 200 % . That means if you put in 100 dollars the company will put in 200 dollars. HyVee is at the bottom of the barrel as retirement goes. HyVee demand's us to vote to be the best company to work for in America but can’t even have a decent retirement plan. We need to stand up for ourselves. This is our company too. Typical us vs them. Corporate vs stores.

This year's medical benefits are absolute cr-p. They claimed everything is the same, nothing changed but the company. Well news flash, this new company doesn't pay out sh-t compared to blue cross. This new company must su-k at negotiating because the "negotiated prices" are nearly triple what it used to be. Oh and they randomly will charge $100 for a regular dr. Visit without telling you why....if you haven't had to go to the dr. Yet, try to stay away cuz trust me you'll be shocked at the charges this year!
Hy-Vee 401k is mediocre at best. Walmart matches 100% of 6%, Target matches 100% of 5%. My current company does an 8% straight contribution - no match required. Like the old Trust Fund used to do, when it was truly profit-sharing.

HyVee offers one of the best 401k on the market. I challenge you to find a company that has a better 401k plan or retirement plan. Plus our pay is very competitive. Our benefits package is one of the best in the nation. Don’t believe me? Ask some of your friends that don’t work for HyVee and see what they get.
I left hyvee. New plan 5 percent match. Day 1 you enroll. Fully invested after 90 days. Fee less charged by managing company. I looking at other retail jobs. Most are this now. Even aldi. Work best pay best culture. Hyvee simple isnt. Once you leave you see that. They used to be. So not all hyvee is bad. It depends on mgrs around you
You can tell Mr fact checker is a lifer at HyVee. He doesn’t have a clue how much better other companies benefits our. HyVee pay is behind par. HyVee benefits is behind most other companies. The hours you work are the worst. Not sure why this guy is defending getting a sh-t 401k plan from HyVee.
Yes they do match 50% up to the 7 % you put in. So the max percent is 3.5. So if you put in 7 dollars HyVee will put in 3.50. For the grand total of 10.50. A lot of companies will match you 100% at a max of 10%. So if I put in 10 dollars the company will do 10 dollars for you too. They even have companies doing 200%. So if I put in 10 dollars the company will put in 20 dollars for a total of 30 dollars. See the the difference. HyVee doesn’t makes sh-t. They should at least make you 100 percent. Understand HyVee 401k is behind contributions from the employer. Those number add up over time.
