Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

Denbury

I want to know if there are any plans for relocating Denbury people into Houston. What are some areas to buy houses, I want to get ahead before the housing market heats up because of Pioneer people moving. What are good school districts.

Houston home prices shot up during COVID. Bad news for those who were on assignments outside of Houston. Double whammy S they then take more money out of your expat compensation saying if you were in Houston it costs more while you also don’t get to ride the wave of increasing home prices. Beware of expat assignments. Financially no longer a winner.

Like the previous poster said, find a job in Dallas area. You and your family will be much happier!

Cypress is a good area with good school system. NW side of Houston.

No plans for Denbury to move for a while. They have stated that multiple times already.

If you're living in DFW, highly recommend seeking a job there. You'll likely regret moving South. I know I much prefer being in Irving. Good luck!

Both Tomball ISD and Klein ISD are good with nice reasonably priced houses. Kingwood in Humble ISD is also a good choice.

Houston market is overpriced. Huge cost run ups over COVID. Good luck. Yeah if they do relocate a bunch of people that will temporarily drive up prices making it likely when you sell you will lose money.

Near the EMHC in the north? None. The Woodlands is it, and is mostly unavailable and/or out of your price range. Almost all major companies are on the west side of Houston with way more options for good neighborhoods.
