Thread regarding Charles Schwab Corp. layoffs

Anyone quit yet? You or on your team

Went to reach out to a developer the other day and they were gone. Looked him up on LinkedIn...landed a new job. Reached out to see what was up. Copy and pasted:

"They moved me from (mangers name removed for privacy) to this new manager who didn't have a clue about my skill set and had me stop all my current projects. They also moved (name removed) to another team so it just su-ked coming in to be miserable. I got a new job offer and resigned. New manager offered an extra WFH day...No thanks. I got a 23% pay increase and can choose where I want to work."

Yes, we had several resignations in our location the first week of RTO.

Using up all my vacation time and sick days before leaving. I don't even care about the bonus. Leaving this shthole is worth more than money

A colleague of mine resigned before RTO in protest. This place truly is a soul su---r.

I left before the holidays to spend them with the family. Already found a new job that pays more than what I was making at Schwab and their workplace flexibility is actually flexible. You all can do better. Don't be afraid of change. Schwab is a soul su---r and you deserve better!

One of my colleagues, a very talented dev, left in December without anything lined up in protest. He is taking a break to visit his family and will be actively hunting shortly.

3 of my co-workers including me are quitting after bonus day. All are software engineers. We are using up our vacation and sick days at the moment.

Yup. Voting with feet is the answer. We can't make it better. Look at where the managers were before and the s-show they created. History repeats.

Think hundreds will leave in March. And that's what the EC wants. Sadly it will be better people.
